OpenVista Deployments

In 1999, the Institute of Medicine released a report, “To Err is Human,” that raised public awareness of the frequency and cost of preventable medical errors. Electronic health records can significantly reduce the incidence of medical errors and provide other benefits to patient safety.

Outside of the VA, VistA has been deployed at more than 1,500 hospitals, clinics and healthcare systems nationally and internationally. OpenVista Institute is working collaboratively with private and public sector organizations nationally and internationally to facilitate the widespread adoption of OpenVista as an affordable, enterprise solution to improve patient care in hospitals and clinics, particularly in underserved regions.
