Hui OpenVista Maintenance and Download
Hui OpenVista is an open-source version of VistA made available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). VistA is an enterprise-wide health information system used to support and maintain electronic health records and performance measures for 3.4 million patients seen as the Department of Veterans Affairs network of 1,400 healthcare facilities worldwide.
The VA maintains and updates the FOIA version of VistA on a regular basis. Hui OpenVista version 4.1 represents the current VistA version with VA patches (through April 2006) applied to the system’s core modules. New Hui Openvista Release Coming Soon!
The Hawaii Consortium for Medicine and Health is working
with the Pacific Telehealth & Technology Hui to facilitate the development,
testing and release of the open source VistA. The Consortium has targeted
mid/late-2007 for the next release of Hui OpenVista. The upgraded version
should include enhancements and modifications to the FOIA Vista
source code with the latest VA patches applied. Download information
on that upcoming release will be posted here.
